Ege University Organ Transplantation Center started to operate with kidney transplantation on September 8, 1988 with the decision of the Higher Education Board in accordance with the article 7 / d-2 of the law numbered 2547 under the Ege University Rectorate. In our center, the first kidney transplant in 1988, the first liver transplant in 1994, the first heart transplant in 1998 and the first lung transplant in 2009 were performed. Pancreas transplantation was performed between 2003-2013. Cornea transplantation was first performed in our clinic in 1963, and it was started to be performed regularly as of 1990. In our center, 2200 kidney transplants and 1258 liver transplants have been performed until 2020.
